The peaceful province Phayao is a quiet community surrounded by mountains and valleys. The people have limited modern conveniences, and much of the outside interest is directed at ancient religious sites dating back mnore than 900 years to a time when Phayao was its own state, independent of Thailand Tours. Located 691 kilometers from Bangkok and surpassomg am area of 6,000 kilometers, Phayao is divided into the following districts: Muang, Chun, Chiang Kham, Chiang Muan, Dok Khamtai, Pong, Mae Chai, Phu Sang, and Phu Kam Yao.
